Real Estate taxes are collected one (1) year in arrears in the State of Ohio.

Taxable Value
Taxable value is an assessment of 35% of the appraised value of the property. In Ohio, property taxes are levied against the assessed value.

Gross Tax Rate
Total millage for the year. This rate is a percentage

Effective Tax Rate
The Annual total millage LESS State mandated reductions. This rate is a percentage.

Appraised Value

Credit

Tax relief measure adopted by the State Legislature which grants 10% across the board roll back on all real property tax bills annually (O.R.C.319.301).

2.5% Rollback
Applicable to owner-occupied homes (O.R.C.323.152(B). You must apply for this credit through the County Auditor.

Homestead Reduction
A credit given to residential property owners who meet certain age, income, and other requirements. You must apply for this credit through the County Auditor.

CAUV Recoup
